Woody was our first pet when my wife and I started dating. We went out to a farm and adopted Woody. He was the smallest of the litter and no one had picked up.
He turned out to be the smartest cat I have ever known. We trained him to sit, stay, shake, jump up and much more.
He was very grumpy, we think this was because he was too smart to be trapped in a cat body.
He did have a bad case of wool sucking disorder and he would eat holes in any cloth laying around. This included blankets on the couch, socks left on the floor, a sweater laying around... basically anything. If you left your shoes out he would eat the laces right up the middle so there was no way to salvage them... All of this and having young niece and nephew around caused my wife to write a book. I provided some creative assistance. The book is: "The clothes lion"
